Carol Stream, Ill.—June 15, 2011—Connected World magazine today announced the winners of its first annual ConnectED Awards. The awards honor individuals who have applied innovation and vision to successfully bring their ideas to the M2M and connected devices marketplace.
The inaugural recipients were recognized as a part of the annual Value Chain Awards Gala, held during the Connected World Conference. This year’s event was held June 14-16 at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort.
“It is so thrilling to see what these entrepreneurs have brought to the marketplace,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Connected World. “Each of our winners here tonight really took a chance and stepped up to the plate to help advance M2M technology and connected devices. It takes drive, passion, and a tenacious spirit to accomplish what these individuals have and we are delighted to recognize them for their dedication to our industry.”
The winning individuals were selected based on a submitted entry, and also asked to recognize those, whether it be an individual or a team, who were essential to their success. These crucial associates are known as Connectors, and were also recognized at the ceremony.
