Connected World Conference
Thank you to all who attended the 2013 Connected World Conference. Moving the event to Silicon Valley proved to be a success. The conference kicked off on Friday June 7 with a 36-hour M2M App Challenge where platform-provider sponsors Aeris Communications, Esri, ILS Technology, ioBridge, and OSIsoft, provided the tools to help attendees bring great app ideas to life.
Attendees to the Gadget Giveaway on Monday June 10 were given a chance to win one of more than 30 gadgets from supporters of the conference, including Garmin, TomTom, Magellan, Dropcam, FitBug, NETGEAR, Body Media, among others.
On Tuesday June 11 the “Day of Keynotes” provided an exciting lineup of some of the leading minds shaping the future of M2M and connected devices, including UPS, the U.S. Dept. of Energy, Progressive, and Santa Clara University, among others. Editorial Director Peggy Smedley took her familiar spot on stage during the keynote on Wednesday June 12 moderating a panel discussion with some of the leading carriers in M2M. The day continued with exciting panel discussions around healthcare, automotive, the future of data, and much more.
The Exhibit Hall gave attendees the chance to experience live broadcasts of The Peggy Smedley Show, listen in on 20-minute presentations from technology providers during the M2M Data Jam, sit inside some of the vehicles that were named winners of the Connected Car of the Year for 2013, and meet leading vendors in M2M.
The Connected World Conference, the only event dedicated exclusively to M2M and connected devices, brings together technology-driven professionals, tech-minded consumers, and upwardly mobile entrepreneurs, all around the idea of either creating or consuming the latest emerging devices and technologies.
The conference delivers a public stage for the connected-devices marketplace, allowing the biggest thinkers in the space to deliver the need-to-know information on devices and apps. Covering verticals such as automotive/transportation, energy/utilities, healthcare, retail, public safety, connected home, and more, this event puts the spotlight on the ways in which M2M is shaping the world around us
Date for 2014 event to be announced shortly.
